Why Post and Lantern?

Just as the lamp post compelled Lucy to seek adventure, we strive to support students on their own journey by rekindling a sense of wonder in learning.  After all, education is one of life’s greatest adventures!

Educational Services

Educational services that include tutoring for K-8, mentoring for 9-12, study skills and learning strategies for all grades, elementary Latin lessons, living history, teaching specific units of study including but not limited to literature, science, history, mathematics, and apologetics.

Tutoring

Tutoring students in grades K-8 based on the specific needs of the student.

Mentoring

Mentoring services primarily private / home school students in grades 9-12.

Learning Strategies

Working with students of all grade levels to assist with developing study skills and learning strategies.

Hours of Operation

Mondays 3:30 pm – 8:00 pm 1/2 hour sessions

Meet Virginia “Ginny” Daugherty Hagee

Professional Qualifications:

  • B.A. in Education, Virginia Tech (Licensed in Early Education K-4; Middle Education 4-8)
  • Certified TJ Ed High Tutor 2020, Thomas Jefferson Leadership Education
  • University of Virginia, Teaching American History 2009-2012 (7 graduate credits)

Leadership Roles:

  • 21st Century Community Learning Center Coordinator for Dublin Elementary and Pulaski County Middle Schools
  • Pulaski County Student Advisory Committee Advisor
  • Academic Lead Teacher for Pulaski Middle School’s 21st CCLC Grant program
  • Member of Pulaski County’s New Teacher Evaluation Committee
  • Conducted training in Instructional Strategies for new teachers in Pulaski County
